9. Who is in charge of handling my Starlink account?

StarWifi Africa allows customers to maintain complete ownership and control of their Starlink accounts. We do not manage accounts for third parties, ensuring full compliance with Starlink’s terms. Upon kit readiness, we provide support to help you get connected.

10. What placement is recommended for Starlink to ensure the best performance?

Before installing your Starlink dish, make sure to open the app and use ‘CHECK OBSTRUCTIONS’ to confirm a clear view at your chosen location. Small obstructions, including trees or poles, can interfere with service. To achieve peak performance, place the dish in a central spot on your home or roof, keeping obstructions below 3%.

14. Can you deliver to remote or rural locations?

Yes, we ship to all regions of Lesotho, Namibia, and South Africa. Although very remote areas may see small delays, we do deliver to farms, safari lodges, rural communities, and other hard-to-reach places.

15. How long until I’m connected?

Once your dish is in hand, you can install it temporarily outdoors in a spot with no obstructions; setup takes about 10 minutes. Speeds will improve after the dish has had 24 hours to settle.

16. Will Starlink work if I use a VPN?

Although we can’t test all VPNs, our daily use of NordVPN and ExpressVPN has been problem-free, and their support is excellent. We believe other VPNs generally work just as well.

This may cause reliability issues due to voltage drops over long distances. To avoid this, connect the modem to a switch, which can extend the cable length by up to 100m.

Yes, it’s possible. Simply look up "Starlink DC Conversion Kit with 12V" on Amazon, Takealot, or other online stores. Keep in mind, modifying your Starlink will void its warranty, and the kit cannot be returned if any issues occur.

20. What is the warranty period for Starlink Kits?
